Venue is the Eastend Memorial Hall on Pottery Street. This year’s entertainment will be The Silver Screen Scoundrels, the duo of Brandon Isaak and Keith Picot: an evening of music , film and laughs. Brandon and Keith are accomplished musicians. Brandon has been nominated for a Maple Blues Award for Song Writer of the Year. He plays guitar, harmonica, washboard, jug, kazoo and the banjo. He’s a great story teller with a quick wit and keen sense of humour. Keith Picot, stand-up bassist, has a hard hitting slap style all his own. In 2011 he won a Maple Blues Award as Canada’s Best Bass Player. The show is a combination of great music, blues and swing, good stories and original sound tracks set to vintage silent film clips. The Silver Screen Scoundrels, a great meal and our over the top dessert bar combine for an evening you won’t want to miss. Eastend celebrates her 100th birthday this year and what more appropriate way to get the festivities off to a great start than an evening which features silent film and good music. Tickets are $40 and $20 for under 18s. Get them at Madhatters Flowers and Gifts on the Red Coat Trail or by calling Ethel Wills 306-295-3670.
