
The Shaunavon Badgers grabbed a 2-0 series lead in the Whitemud Hockey League final. The Badgers tripled the Leader Flyers 3-1 before an excellent crowd at the VWC on March 8. The period counts were 1-0 and
3-1 in the contest.
Luke Hunter dented twine twice including a power play tally to spark the home side. Derek Thomas also blinked the red light at 5:47 of the middle stanza.

Anton Yatsyshin lit the red lamp for the Flyers at 2:32 of the second.

Martyn Clint was sharp between the pipes for the Flyers. Janson Davidson was steady in goal for the Badgers.
Referees Vance Fode and Lyndsay Miyashiro of Swift Current assessed the Flyers three of the four minor infractions.
Tash Armstrong took home the $930 50/50 cash prize.
The Badgers opened the final series with a 6-3 triumph on March 7 at the Leader Arena.
